Between customer expectations for digital self-service and regulatory scrutiny: we build banking processes that deliver both at once.
What makes this industry unique
Banks operate in a field of tension: customers expect a digital, instantly available experience, while supervisors and regulators demand complete traceability and security at the same time. Bringing both together — speed at the customer interface and control behind the scenes — is the real challenge. Requirements differ substantially depending on whether a bank is digitalizing its retail or its corporate and commercial banking business.
What we do there
In retail banking (B2C): What counts here is a direct, frictionless experience for many users at once. We build self-service platforms that resolve customer requests such as master data changes or account management directly within online banking — implemented quickly thanks to modular, reusable components and seamlessly integrated into existing digital channels across web and mobile.
In corporate and commercial banking (B2B): Here, complex, multi-stage processes take center stage, often with high volumes and strict review requirements. We digitalize high-volume lending processes for new and existing business, model document-intensive workflows such as digital mailrooms, and build systems for regulatory data-quality reporting that scale with growing review scope. Instead of media breaks and manual follow-up, end-to-end, auditable workflows emerge.

The situation
DKB’s new online banking portal was to be improved by offering a wide range of self-services online — resource-efficiently, with the goal of significantly improving the customer experience and usability.
The solution
Using Pega Constellation UI technology as a low-code platform, a modular, component-based application architecture was built. Reusable process steps were identified early on and provided as generic components — which meant even young professionals at DKB could develop individual process steps independently. Self-services such as master-data changes or account closure were built end to end within a few weeks and integrated into the new online banking portal.

The situation
Customers expect a digital, independent banking experience — even for service requests that were previously handled by phone or on paper.
The solution
A modern self-service platform, integrated directly into online banking, seamlessly connected to existing digital channels via web and API interfaces, with consistent navigation across mobile, web, and back office.
Why it matters
Every channel break costs not just time but trust — a consistent experience across every touchpoint is a competitive factor in retail banking.

The situation
Complex, multi-stage expert assessments were previously managed through Word documents — flexible in content, but with no system transparency or reliable traceability.
The solution
Dynamic, project-specific input forms that adapt automatically to each requirement, with Word-like approval steps inside a structured, multi-stage workflow.
Why it matters
In international financing decisions, structure doesn’t replace professional flexibility — it’s what makes that flexibility reviewable and auditable in the first place.

The situation
Data-quality issues from various supplying systems and organizational units had to be systematically tracked and evaluated on a regular basis — without an end-to-end reporting system.
The solution
An application system, in production for several years, that tracks data-quality issues with structured metric calculation and regular historization.
Why it matters
Regulatory data-quality reporting is not a one-off project but an ongoing responsibility — a system designed from day one for long-term operation avoids costly do-overs later.

The situation
As data volume grew and the number of metrics increased, the original calculation logic reached its limits.
The solution
A conceptual overhaul of the calculation logic toward a modular, scalable architecture that grows with demand instead of becoming a limiting factor.
Why it matters
Systems that work well at launch but are not designed for growth become the most expensive kind of technical debt.

The situation
Lending processes for new and existing business ran across several parallel, partly manual steps — there was no unified platform.
The solution
A scalable low-code architecture that not only models the lending process itself but also serves as the foundation for further business processes.
Why it matters
A platform designed from the outset for more than one process keeps every further digitalization effort from starting back at zero.

The situation
Incoming documents and mail still had to be routed and forwarded largely by hand.
The solution
A workflow-based application for routing, standardizing, and automatically processing documents further, reusing existing infrastructure instead of replacing it.
Why it matters
Digitalization that builds on existing structure is often productive faster than a complete rebuild.
